Dr. Tania Ahuja, Senior Vice President, Franchise Risk Architecture, Citigroup (March 21, 2013).

 

Professor Kose John from New York University will teach four lessons during the week March 19-22. The lessons address some of the most widely discussed topics in corporate governance which have been faced by advanced industrial economies around the world.

Those topics include: mechanisms of corporate governance, insider ownership, board of directors, monitoring by banks, market for control, equity governance and stakeholder governance, risk and corporate governance.

On March 21, during John's lesson, Dr. Tania Ahuja, Senior Vice President, Franchise Risk Architecture at Citigroup will have a speech about corporate governance and risk management from a banking perspective.

These lessons are open to undergraduates, graduate, PhD students and professors.

Biography

John Kose is Professor of Banking and Finance at New York University's Stern School of Business. Professor John has won numerous awards for outstanding teaching and research. His research focuses on corporate finance (including corporate governance, banking and financial institutions, financial distress); capital markets theory and the economics of information.

 

 

With more than 21 books to his name, his work has appeared in publications including the American Economic Review, The Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, Financial Management, the Journal of Corporate Finance, the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting.
Professor John has lectured and spoken at conferences and academic institutions
worldwide, and has held visiting appointments at Columbia University, the Institut D'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), the University of Chicago, Cranfield University, and the Indian School of Business.
